What cannot be uploaded to HOTPIC.cc servers

Prohibited Content

  • Copyrighted images if you don't own the copyright and are not licensed to do so.
  • Violence, "hate speech" demeaning race, gender, age, religious or sexual orientation, etc.
  • Images that are threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that encourage violence or crime.
  • Any images that might be illegal in the USA or EU, such as child sexual abuse, or doxxing.

Important Notice

If you are not sure whether the image you want to upload is allowed then do not upload that image. Uploaded images are checked by staff and images that violate terms will be removed without prior warning. This may also get you banned from our website.

Automatic/programmatic uploads are not allowed. If you need image storage for your app, please use Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage.

Image Attribution & Linking

Please keep images embedded into third-party websites wrapped in links back to the corresponding HTML pages at our site when possible. The outgoing link should lead the user directly to our web page without any interstitial pages or interruptions.

Legal Terms

User Rights & Content License

By uploading a file or other content, you represent and warrant that (1) doing so does not violate anyone else's rights; and (2) you created the file or have sufficient intellectual property rights. You grant HOTPIC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable worldwide license to use, display, create derivative works of, allow downloads of, and/or distribute any such file or content.

UGC Restrictions

By downloading or copying user-generated content (UGC), you agree:

  • You may use UGC for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • You may use UGC for fair use (e.g. journalism) with attribution to HOTPIC
  • You may not use UGC for non-journalistic commercial purposes unless you hold the copyright
  • Your use of UGC is at your own risk

DMCA Notifications

If you believe content on our site infringes your copyright, submit a notification with:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the infringing material with URL details
  • A statement of good faith belief that use is not authorized
  • A statement that information is accurate under penalty of perjury
  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Contact instructions (email, address, phone)

HOTPIC's services are provided on an "AS IS – WITH ALL FAULTS" basis. Your use of our service is entirely at your own risk. We do not guarantee the availability, reliability, or integrity of files on our servers.

HOTPIC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS AND IMPLIED. HOTPIC HAS NO DUTY TO MONITOR CONTENT AND DOES NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACCURACY OR APPROPRIATENESS OF ANY CONTENT. HOTPIC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

User Indemnification

YOU WILL INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HOTPIC AND ALL OF ITS PERSONNEL HARMLESS FROM ALL LOSS, LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DAMAGES AND EXPENSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS, YOUR INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, AND ANY HARM CAUSED TO ANY THIRD PARTY AS A RESULT OF YOUR UPLOADING.
